Become a Beta Tester Get Latest Updates Before Anyone Else.

Nothing is perfect in this world and the same thing implies to the Computer Software. Even if the app is made by a team of expert programmers, there are always some bugs, loopholes which might make the app unstable and raise security issues. So there is always a room for improvement. That is why all the organization release regular updates of their apps. App updates always comes with new and exciting features and also with improved performance. But, what if I tell you that you can get these updates before anybody else does. How?  By becoming a Beta Tester for that app. Its simple to Sign Up  and also free of cost. Now lets understand what Beta Tester is and the tasks assigned to him.

Whenever a software is made from scratch it follows a development process. There are different stages in this process through which the software has to pass till it gets release for the use of general public.

1. Pre-Alpha - This is the first stage of any software development. In this stage the team decides what all will be required to make the software, they design its blueprint and starts with the development process. At the end of this stage the development part of the software is complete and now it is ready for testing.

2. Alpha - The second stage, where the developers start testing the software for any bugs or errors. This testing is mainly focused on weather the software is working fine or not and is it able to perform the tasks it was made for.

3. Beta - After the developers test the software they release a Beta version of the software. Some organizations make it available for everyone to download but others like to limit the access to their own beta testers. In this testing the main focus is if the people are liking the software, what else do they need, and how it is performing amongst the users.

4. Final Release - All the feedbacks recorder in the beta stage are worked upon. After beta stage the final version of the software is ready to be released publicly.
So the people who test the Beta version of the software and give their feedback are known as Beta Testers

Advantages -
  • They get to use the lastest updates with new features which only a few people have access to. So you can brag about them amongst your friends.
  • You get to contribute to the development of software and if you are able to find a big bug in the software then your name might be displayed in the developers list.
  • You get to work with latest technology which meet like minded people. You can use the software and become an expert before anyone else which gives you an edge over others.
Disadvantages -
  • You have to explore every part of the app and test all the possibilities which can be a long process so Beta testing requires patience.
  • Sometimes software can be too buggy and unstable so you might get easily frustrated.

Top Five Best Programming Languages For Beginners.

Most people think coding is not their cup of tea but it is just a myth, everyone can learn to code provided that they follow the right path. In today's world everything is getting digital and knowing a bit of coding will surely give you an edge over others. Coding is not what you think it is. Its not just sitting in front of a computer for hours and typing it also involves thinking and implementation. In simple words "its fun" once you get used to it.

If you are thinking of starting to learn to code you must have this question in your mind "Which language should I start with?", because there are lots and lots of options to choose from. The first language you choose to learn play a crucial role because it can go either way, if you choose a tough language having complex concepts and syntax you will end up scratching your head and eventually you will lose interest in coding. So it becomes very important to choose the right language based on your interests and needs.

Here are the top 5 languages.

Scratch
Developed by MIT Media Labs Scratch is a Graphical Programming Tool and not exactly a language because you don't really write any code, there are blocks provided for every task and you just have to put them together to make a certain program. Its a great tool for beginners to get a quick idea on how coding works and develop algorithmic thinking. Although you can build some cool things using scratch but if you keep on using it you will eventually get to know about its limitations and then you you might want to move on to learning some high level languages. Get started here. See tutorials here.

Don't get scared by the term high level they are as easy as Scratch but requires some patience and remembrance . :)

Python
This language created by Guido van Rossum is not only easy to learn but also the most popular amongst the developers. Just write print("Hello, World!") and your hello world program is ready. It teaches you about important concepts of programming such as indentation and modularity. Using its large number of frameworks you can do almost anything, for example - want to create web apps use Django, want to build desktop app use Tkinter, for image recognition you have OpenCV, for making games PyGame and the list goes on and on. Most of the big companies such as Google, Facebook, Mozilla use python.
You can start here and get tutorials here - Link 1, Link 2.

Javascript
Javascript was developed by Netscape Communications in the 90s. It is an untyped language which is interpreted (not compiled). Those using JS say that "You only need a browser and any text editor (of your choice), to learn JS." All modern browsers support JS and you can also type JS command directly into the browser's console. JS is mainly used for making interactive websites and webapps. It makes the Frontend of almost all websites. But its use is not only limited to frontend, with the help of framework such as Node.js you can also do Backend designing and Phonegap framework eases the task of making mobile apps using JS. Although its a new language its gaining popularity due to its simplicity both amongst developers and also in the tech industry. Here are some links to learn js - Link 1, Link 2.

C++
Designed by Bjarne Stroustrup during the 1980s and since then and until now it is widely used. It is a general purpose programming language with object oriented features likes classes. These things make it popular amongst developers and also competitive programmers. You might have some difficulty picking it up at first but if you keep practicing you will have an in depth understanding of how things work. Start learning here - Link 1, Link 2.

Go
Designed by Google, Go is an open source programming language (just like python) which was launched in 2009 and since then it has gained a lot of popularity in the coding world. Since its relatively new so its has only a limited community and not much in demand. Having said that its a good language for the first timers. It is easier to learn different languages once you know any one of them so do think much and get started. Learn here - Link 1, Link 2.

Affiliate Marketing is a form of marketing wherein the ultimate goal of the employee is to promote the company amongst more and more people, bring them to the company's website and convince them to buy their product and services. All these activities and promotional efforts are tracked and the marketer receives a commission based on the profit that the company makes because of him. Neuralink : Elon Musk Planning to Connect Human Brains with Computers

Source : CNN Money
Artificial organs and machines have been into existence for quite some time now and they have helped lots of people in living a longer and healthier life. Common examples are the pacemakers and the dialysis machine, but now the CEO of Tesla Motors and SpaceX, Elon Musk has launched another project named Neuralink which is aimed at merging Artificial Intelligence with human brains.

What is Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial Intelligence is a field of Computer Science which is focused on giving human like intelligence and thinking capabilities to a computer so that it can do tasks such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.

So what exactly is Neuralink or Neural Lace?

Neuralink is another venture of Elon Musk (as if Tesla and SpaceX wasn't enough) which is aimed at creating micro-computer implants, putting them into the brain, connecting them with an external computer and communicating with them wirelessly.

Why did Elon Musk come up with such an idea?

The field of A.I. is advancing day by day which makes computers more smart and powerful. This could lead to humans left behind by a lot. To keep up with the advancement Elon Musk came up with such an idea.

Possibilities and Advantages

With the help of Neuralink chip placed into your brain you can download your thoughts and even upload them or send them to someone else. The thinking capabilities and processing speed of the brain would be improved. We will be able to operate machines just by our brains. It would also help people in curing brain diseases such as  epilepsy, Parkinson’s and even depression. All these tasks would be done just by sending some low powered electric signals to the brain.

Risks and Disadvantages

Putting a computer chip into the brain requires a surgery on the most sensitive part of the body, the head which involves the skull and the brain. Keeping this in mind not many people would be willing to take such risks and volunteer for this project. It would not be cost effective either.

What will be the future of this technology? No one knows. For now it is just an idea and this dream of Sci-Fi fiction turning into reality does seem to come true anytime soon. Still a lot of research has to be done, some prototypes has to be made and some failures has to be faced, but the day this technology will come into existence it will be a big milestone for the mankind.

Do post your expectations, ideas and possibilities for the Neuralink project in the comment section below. Source : Samsung
In 2016, Samsung saw a few ups and downs. Where on one hand its J series was a huge success on the other was the Note 7 which was meant to be their flagship smartphone but it costed them $5 billions (approx.) and a lot of criticism. No worries, Samsung has its Galaxy series to save the day. The Galaxy series has always been a hit amongst the customers and also the most profitable product for the company. Now to cover its losses and to set new standards in the industry, Samsung has released the two most awaited smartphones the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus. These are loaded with the latest technology and also has some amazing unique features which makes it eligible to be called as a premium smartphone.

Here are some of the features which makes them stand out and be the talk of the town.

Design -

Source : Phone Arena
Samsung has not been amongst those companies who were appreciated for their design. Although their smartphones had sharp and bright display but they had their trademark design used in all of their phones. But with its new launch they are ready to break the traditional rules. The Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus comes with, what is being called the "Infinite Display". They come in 5.8" and 6.2" sizes respectively with a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and curved screen on the sides. The Samsung logo and the traditional Home button has been removed from the front to make it bezel free and compact. Instead of the Home button, Samsung has implemented the force touch mechanism at the bottom which acts as a virtual home button.

Improved Camera -

There has always been a tough fight in this segment and its hard to decide a clear winner. Although the S8 and S8 Plus comes with a 12MP rear shooter, its f/1.7 aperture and improved image processing software makes the photo sharp and crisp and also good for low light photography. The front camera is a 8MP shooter with autofocus so that you can click blur less selfie quickly.

The S8 and the S8 Plus comes with the latest Bixby software, which is the Samsung's own virtual assistant software to make the phone more easy to access. By pressing a dedicated button on the side Bixby Voice gets activated and then you can do mostly everything that you could do by touching the phone. Then there is Bixby Vision (Samsung's version of Google Goggles) which lets you identify objects captured by the camera. With the DeX technology (Desktop Experience) the idea of using the smartphone's processor as a computer has finally turned into reality. Just put the phone inside the dedicated DeX hardware and you are good to go. It consists of 2 USB Ports for keyboard and mouse, 1 HDMI for display and 1 USB type C port for power to make it a computer wherever you want. A DeX OS optimized for bigger screens and faster performance is used for the interface.

Better Security -

Gone are the days when you used to unlock your phone with some pattern or password, now you have the figerprint sensor and on the S8 and S8 Plus it is placed right next to the camera. Now the placement of the sensor is arguable but where on S8 it can be easily accessed, on the S8 Plus its hard to reach if using single handedly. Iris Scanning is another feature which can be used to unlock the phone and is the safest way to secure your private contents. They also come with an option of face unlock which is very quick and quite accurate even in low light (thanks to great selfie camera.)

Some more amazing features and specifications -
S8 and S8 Plus packs a 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh battery respectively and runs on Android 7.0. These are the first smartphones to come with Bluetooth 5.0. They are IP68 waterproof over 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, supports a 4G speed of upto 1Gbps, has a USB Type C port for fast charging and the 3.5mm Jack for audiophiles. Top 5 expected features of Android O

Source:Google.
Its been almost an year since the release of the Android N and from last few weeks everyone, from users to the developers, have been eagerly waiting for the release of the next Android version. So Google didn't make their customers wait and released a Developer Preview of Android O this week. As expected Google has added some awesome features and updates to the new Android currently being referred to as 'O'. Here I share with you some updates that you might see on Android O.

Improved Battery Life  -
Battery life has always been a problem with Android smartphones and Google have been working on it trying to make it better with every release. Improved battery life is a feature which the users will love the most. While multitasking Android O will smartly limit the activity of the apps open in the background to prevent them from draining your battery. This limit is mainly set on three activities that uses the most battery - implicit broadcasts, background services, and location updates.

Notification Menu -
Drop down notification cum menu bar is a feature of Android that comes very handy to quickly check any messages or to on and off any service such as WiFi, Torch, Location. Now its more simple and clean-cut and you can do much more with it. The notifications can be grouped into different channels depending on their category. So news apps can be grouped in one channel messaging apps in other and so on, this will prevent your notification bar from flooding with notifications.

Snooze Notifications -
Imagine you are busy with some work and some annoying notifications from an app keeps disturbing you, this feature can be a life saver in this situation. In Android O you can slide the notification sideways and setup a snooze time of 15, 30 or 60 minutes. The notification will not show up until the time is complete. You can also snooze or block a whole channel.

Picture in Picture -
This feature will help in an improved user experience and will help users to work with full efficiency on their smartphones and tablets. With PIP users can let the videos play in a small box, while using other apps. So while watching a movie you can now go through the news, surf internet or do whatever you want.

LDAC Audio -
This feature is for the music lovers. Google has partnered with Sony to bring in the support for LDAC codec on Android O. This codec lets you stream high quality audio wirelessly on your Bluetooth devices. Also there are some more settings that you can expect to see on Android O which are music oriented.

These are the most promising features from the new Android O Developers preview, but its just the first release so some more features might be added or some might be removed and you can expect the final release by July or August (although Google has not made any official announcement for that its just my prediction. ;))

Hope this article was helpful. Please share and post your suggestions of the sweet-treat name of Android O in the comment section. Tell me the topics you want to know about and don"t forget to subscribe to the newsletters
